We are looking to appoint a Voids Business Manager to oversee the Backoffice functions to support to the Lettings, Housing Options and Voids teams. You will ensure the effective management of void properties, maximising income to the Company by minimising void periods. Joining us with some experience of managing a team, you will lead, develop and supervise a team of up to 10 Administrative Assistants and Work Planners.

The Voids and New Tenancy Services team are responsible for getting around 1,500 properties ready for new tenants each year. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of meeting objectives who can make positive changes to processes and look for new ways of working to drive continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to help us make a difference to our tenants and provide excellent customer service to our stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead a customer-focused service that achieves high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the various stages of the voids and rehousing processes.
- Lead, develop and promote the Lettings and Voids service across the city, providing effective management of void properties to maximise income and customer satisfaction with the new homes service
- Responsible for the management of team and accountable for their performance within a fast paced, responsive environment.
- Prepare, interpret and present potential complex lettings and void reports succinctly to senior management and the board
- Advising on trends in relation to supply and demand, making recommendations for the annual lettings plan and development opportunities
- Responsible for health and safety, record keeping and the management of stock for the voids team
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience of managing people
- Engage, motivate and develop people, leading the team to work collectively to achieve company objective
